They would lose money if they did that.And actually, doing a little research, many channels that are in HD usually only broadcast the HD content. Roll on to the changeover the Christmas music channels on Sky too... Will certainly make many customers happy that love those types of films. Should change it to a "Sky Christmas" FAST channel, showing all Christmas content from the full range of channels from Sky.
Other satellite providers in Europe have removed HD channels entirely from their EPGs to encorage people to go to streaming devices. But having inclusive HD is an incentive for users to move from satellite to streaming, which is what Comcast wants them to do. I certainly do feel more cozy at home with the Christmas music/movie channels on in the background, especially while bringing down the Christmas tree...... For us, these films offer a good sense of feel good, escapism, Christmas decoration loveliness, all with a touch of corny and comedic scripts at times, putting a welcome smile on our faces. It's so sad to see the remaining (of what was) Sky Sports Active interactive channels closing.
When available, the estimated number of results that was previously found under webPages.totalEstimatedMatches will be available under search_information.total_results in our API. While the previous steps have all been quite straightforward, the changes to the response format handling will likely be the most involved for you depending on how much of the data you have been using. The official API's response format differs from our own so there are still changes to make, but we're part way there. If your implementation is relatively simple and only uses the q and mkt parameters, then when you make these changes, you should see a full response come back from our endpoint at this stage.
